Letter from EHC Indonesia: "We have just returned from Sulawesi. According to the locals about 308 churches have been destroyed and about 1,000 homes of Christians destroyed." EHC Indonesia National Director, Yohanes Suprandono lamented that the government did little to help victims of the earthquake, especially Christians, in the remote area. So far, one businessman with a burden to help in the reconstruction is coordinating relief efforts for the Christians, as international donations for the quake relief go directly to the government. In some areas, Christians are told to renounce their faith if they want to receive financial aid. The area is very remote and inaccessible and it was a challenge to relief teams trying to bring supplies of clean water, food and medical aid to the victims. "During this trip we met some 100 church leaders and members and blessed them with food supplies. Our gratitude of thanksgiving to our donors," said Director Yohanes. Thank you, EHC Asia donors!
